The Biology Department of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Tanjungpura University is scheduled to host a guest lecture titled of Nuclear Technology in the Health Sector. This event will take place on Monday, October 28, 2024, in the FMIPA UNTAN lecture room and will be conducted in a hybrid format via the Google Meet application. The lecture will feature Dr. Phill Hendris Wongso, S.Si, a researcher from the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) at the Center for Radioisotope, Radiopharmaceutical, and Biodosimetry Technology Research. Dr. Wongso is also an alumnus of the Biology Department at FMIPA UNTAN, having graduated in 2006. This event aims to enhance the understanding of biology students regarding the application of nuclear technology in the health sector, particularly in relation to human health. Furthermore, it is anticipated that this initiative will serve as a foundation for future collaboration between the Biology Department at FMIPA UNTAN and the Center for Radioisotope, Radiopharmaceutical, and Biodosimetry Technology Research, especially given that the Biology curriculum includes a course on Radiobiology.
