The Biology Department, in collaboration with the Biology Student Association (HIMABIO) and the Biology Alumni Association (IKABIO), organized a Post-Campus Seminar for Biology graduates from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Tanjungpura University (UNTAN), as well as graduates from other faculties, on Sunday, September 15, 2024. The seminar, held at the Joint Lecture Building A, was themed "Preparation for Success in Entering the World of Work. Agung Wibowo Ari Aji, S.T., M.Sc., the Human Resources representative of the Planet Indonesia Foundation, as the keynote speaker. The seminar encompassed four primary discussion topics: preparation for employment, writing an effective cover letter, interview techniques, and understanding company profiles and job vacancies. The speaker provided participants with essential information on how to enhance their competencies and experiences, emphasizing the importance of presenting a well-structured portfolio within their curriculum vitae (CV) that aligns with the expectations of potential employers. The portfolio should encompass comprehensive details regarding both hard and soft skill competencies. Dr. Kustiati, M.Sc., the Head of the Biology Department, expressed appreciation for the initiative and underscored the significance of such activities in facilitating graduates' successful integration into the workforce post-graduation. The Biology Department, along with HIMABIO and IKABIO, is committed to fostering ongoing collaboration and organizing similar events with the Planet Indonesia Foundation, as well as other organizations and companies.
